Peer Support Coordinator (application deadline 14 October 2014)

We are looking for someone (or two people as a job share) for 15 hours per week (£12 per hour) to be responsible for providing the peer support programme primarily for and by young LGBT people aged 13-25. It is essential that applicants have prior experience of working specifically with LGBT young people on issues central to them e.g. coming out. Experience of youth work (at a coordinator level or above) is essential, as is experience of youth support (this does not have to be counselling, but could be connected to mentoring). The post requires evenings (Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays) and occasional weekend work. Please see the Peer Support Coordinator Job Description attached. Young Women’s Research Coordinator (application deadline 8 September 2014)

What we need

LGBT Youth North West in partnership with the Young Women’s Health Project have available a post for 7.5 hour a week for a  youth worker with research experience. The post is offered at £12 an hour, for 52 weeks in the first instance.  The role is to work with young women and a professionals steering group to deliver a one year pilot peer research project into the health and wellbeing of Lesbian, Gay  and Bisexual young women aged 12-30, including an analysis of how LGB young women use the internet for self-help.

Finance Worker (application deadline 15th  August 2014)

We currently have a 10 hour per week (over two days) finance post available. £8 per hour. Applicants have to have finance and accounts experience and it is desired that they are also familiar with accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks) and have relevant qualifications. A commitment to the ethos and practice of the organisation is also required. Manchester-based post. This post is funded by the Big Lottery. Applicants must apply by 15th  August 2014.
