Jayes Memorial Bike Festival | The Proud Trust

Well done to all those who took part in the bike ride on Saturday to remember Jaye Bloomfield and to celebrate her life. Those who weren’t on the ride also had a great time at the LGBT centre through our fun day activities doing dance, juggling, eating, face painting, arts and crafts (bicycle themed) and peddling for our own smoothies on the Love Your Bike pedal-powered smoothie making bike! We also raised awareness about the new 20mph zone which will include the Oxford Road corridor next to the LGBT centre, and should make it safer for cyclists in the area, including many of our members and staff! Thank you to Linda, Jaye’s mum, and Gemma, Jaye’s wife, who visited us on the day and poignantly reminded us of the wonderful person Jaye was, as well as renaming our resource library in her memory.
