We run a variety of training for schools, from 20 minute workshops to entire projects.
We deliver Equality and Diversity Awareness for School Councils which is accredited by the Open Awards. We have recently delivered this over two days in Middleton Technology School, Siddal Moor Sport College and Brownhills (SEN) School.
Equality and Diversity Training Experience:
The training was great. The young people thought a lot and had a lot to say. I really liked all the exercises you did with them. It has made me think a lot more about language and about ways we challenge the word ‘gay’ when used negatively, compared to how we challenge racist language.

We deliver LGBT awareness sessions as part of Brook Express. Brook Express is where a whole year group splits into small groups for a fast-paced morning of eight x20-minute sessions about different sex and relationships themes.
Brook Express Experiences:
One thing I will take away is that I am not alone if anything bad occurs. That there will always be people to help me.
I thought the session was really useful and informative and important.
It was really useful and will help me in the future.
Quotes from three Pupils from Manchester High School for Girls
I would be very embarrassed talking to them about this topic, but with you they are very relaxed and have a lot to say. I think having outside people in really helps.

We deliver training for teachers and professionals too, including whole day conferences, such as the one we delivered for school, support and careers staff in November 2011 in Rochdale.
‘I just wanted to say thank you for allowing three of my staff to attend this training course, they all said it was a really good course 9the best one they have been on for ages). They got a lot out of the day and felt it was thoroughly worthwhile.’
