Training & Consultancy

We deliver award winning training and consultancy across the North West.

If you are a school, we can deliver training to your pupils, your teachers, your support staff, you parents and your governors. Or we can talk you through individual issues from bullying to policy.

We can deliver assemblies, lessons, workshops, short training sessions or longer more in-depth sessions. We can help you action plan school approaches to combating bullying and making your school inclusive, using our Paul Patrick Awards Framework.

We deliver training for youth workers, and those who work with young people including the criminal justice system, faith groups, and wherever people work with children and young people.

We will tailor training to meet your needs.

We are Open College Network Accredited and have PTTLS qualified trainers who work alongside young people to deliver training.

Sue Sanders from Schools Out said, ‘I am a big fan of LGBT Youth North West, we need to be getting this out to schools more, they need it!’

Training and Networking is important to us to broaden our impact and reach across the region and beyond.

LGBT Youth North West works in partnership with other agencies including the National Union of Teachers, NASUWT, Rochdale Real Trust, the North West Regional Youth Work Unit, Greater Manchester Police, Young Lancashire, 42nd Street (mental health charity) and Albert Kennedy Trust (housing support).

An integral part of our work is to advocate for the voice of LGBT young people which happens through forums, involvement in decision making processes and having representatives at local, national and international levels. We are particularly proud of our work with Schools Out and the International Lesbian and Gay Youth Organisation for helping us achieve these goals.
